Ljubljana: a one-day guide
A capital you can walk in an evening — and the gateway to the lakes and Alps
Ljubljana is one of Europe’s most compact and greenest capitals: about three hundred thousand people, and the centre can be explored on foot in a few hours. The centre has been car-free since 2007, and the banks of the Ljubljanica are one long pedestrian zone lined with cafés.
